2013 Buy Local! Buy Fresh! Okanagan Map

The Buy Local! Buy Fresh! map is a direct marketing tool for farms and local producers. It links consumers with local food by making food producers more visible in the region, and then supports their growth in the market. The map showcases our region's abundance of local farms, food producers, and promotes local food businesses and farm events. As the demand for local food increases, listing on the map is a cost effective way to reach this growing market.

Registration for the first ever 2013 Okanagan Valley edition has now closed and this year's map has gone to print. To receive information about next year's 2014 edition, please feel welcome to contact us. In this first season, we hope to include as much feedback from the community as possible. Let us know your ideas for making this a successful project!

Map Details:

The 2013 Okanagan Valley map is a full colour fold-out print map that covers all of the region from Armstrong in the north to Oliver in the South. The map shows farms and advertisers linked to sponsor ads around the frame and to full farm listings on reverse. Farm listings are organized by both location and by main product category. 7500 copies of the map are being distributed free of charge this year throughout the Okanagan Valley at Visitor's Centres, at participating farms and sponsors, and at other locations convenient to both tourists and residents. The online farm listings here on buylocalbc.org include detailed versions of the listings from the printed map, searchable by product and location. An online listing is included in the registration fee for the printed map.
