The Buy Local! Buy Fresh! map is a direct marketing tool for farms and local producers. It links consumers with local food by making food producers more visible in the region, and then supports their growth in the market. The map showcases our region's abundance of local farms, food producers, and promotes local food businesses and farm events. As the demand for local food increases, listing on the map is a cost effective way to reach this growing market.

Registration for the 2018 Buy Local! Buy Fresh! Thompson Shuswap map has now closed and the map has gone to print. To receive information about next year's new edition of the map, please feel welcome to contact us. Let us know your ideas for developing this project successfully!

Map Details:

The 2018 Buy Local! Buy Fresh! Thompson Shuswap map will be a full colour fold-out print map that folds to a brochure rack size. A complementary website listing is included with the 2018 print edition. The new map once again covers the Thompson Valleys, Nicola, and Shuswap, from Kamloops to Salmon Arm, east to Sicamous, west to Ashcroft, and north to Clearwater.

The map shows farms and advertisers linked to sponsor ads around the frame and to full farm listings on reverse. Farm listings are organized by both location and by main product category. 6,000+ copies of the map are distributed free of charge each year throughout the map region at Visitor Centres, at participating farms and sponsors, and at hotels and other locations convenient to both tourists and residents.

The online farm listings here on buylocalbc.org include detailed versions of the listings from the printed map, searchable by product and location. An online listing is included in the registration fee for the printed map.
