Lake Country - For Immediate Release:  Buy Local BC and the Okanagan Greens Society are very pleased to announce the arrival of the 2nd Annual 2014 Buy Local! Buy Fresh! Okanagan Map.

After the popularity of last year's first ever edition, this season we printed more hard copy maps, which now cover the Similkameen Valley and Osoyoos beginning with this new 2014 edition.

Over 60 participants including 35 farms and over 20 local food businesses, events, and local attractions are featured in this 2nd edition of the year round guide to local food. The new 2014 map officially launched at Vernon Farmers’ Market on June 30. Free copies of the maps are being offered at most visitor centres and hotels, and at many participating businesses throughout the Okanagan Valley.

"We chose to launch the new maps in Vernon. It is one of the best markets you will find anywhere, and was named Market of the Year in BC last year," explains Buy Local BC founder Shayne Wright.
