New! 2015 Buy Local! Buy Fresh! Okanagan online farm listings, click here.

The Buy Local! Buy Fresh! map is a direct marketing tool for farms and local producers. It links consumers with local food by making food producers more visible in the region, and then supports their growth in the market. The map showcases our region's abundance of local farms, food producers, and promotes local food businesses and farm events. As the demand for local food increases, listing on the map is a cost effective way to reach this growing market.

Registration for the 3rd Annual 2015 Buy Local! Buy Fresh! Okanagan map has now closed and the map has gone to print. To receive information about the new 2016 edition, please feel welcome to contact us.

Map Details:

The 2015 Buy Local! Buy Fresh! Okanagan map will be a full colour fold-out print map that folds to a brochure rack size. The 2015 edition once again covers all of the region from Armstrong in the north to Osoyoos and the Similkameen in the South. The map shows farms and advertisers linked to sponsor ads around the frame and to full farm listings on reverse. Farm listings are organized by both location and by main product category. 10,000 copies of the map are distributed free of charge each year throughout the Okanagan Valley at Visitor's Centres, at participating farms and sponsors, and at other locations convenient to both tourists and residents. The online farm listings here on buylocalbc.org include detailed versions of the listings from the printed map, searchable by product and location. An online listing is included in the registration fee for the printed map.

More Testimonials: "We're starting to build new customers and we really did notice this year that the Buy Local! Buy Fresh! pamphlet was helpful to draw some new customers to the farm. I think that was a real positive and we'll look forward to participating in future years. It was nice to see new people and especially more tourists stopping by the farm as they drive through the Okanagan, and so that's been a good thing for us - we're always looking to expand our clientele. We're fairly new in theĀ  business still--this is the third year of us owning the orchard--so it's good to see new people coming out, and I'm excited by the upsurge of people that are interested in local again. There have been alot of local families that are stopping in to the farm looking for fruit for their kids for school lunches, and that's a good thing!"
